A READING OF THE POEM “CHORINHO” IN A DIALOGICAL PERSPECTIVE

This article presents a reading of the poem “Chorinho”, that integrates the work Vaga Música (1942) by Cecilia Meireles,in the perspective of dialogical discursive analysis of Bakhtin’s Circle. We take as reference the concepts of responsiveness and accountability that underlie Bakhtin’s reflections in his essay “Hacia uma filosofia del acto ético” (1997) about art, pointing dialogical relations established between the poetic text and social context, pointing as first reference the lyrical poem and Cecilia Meireles’s poetic proposal. After, from the musical leitmotif of the title and the suggestive poetic images we can see the conflict of self-lyrical, that demonstrates the dialogue between the liric self and the socio-historical context marked by the military dictatorship of Vargas and the Second World War. Contrary to current thinking that Cecilia Meireles distanced herself from the problems of her time, the analysis demonstrates that the subtlety of the poetic images, guided by the proximity of the popular musical universe, brings tension and existential suffering marked by adverse social context. Thus, the poem represents the author’s responsive and responsible attitude, in the bakhtinian perspective,fulfilling an aesthetic artistic proposal.Este artigo apresenta a leitura do poema “Chorinho”, integrante da obra Vaga Música (1942) de Cecília Meireles, na perspectiva da análise dialógica do discurso de Bakhtin e do Círculo. Toma-se como referência os conceitos de responsividade e responsabilidade que fundamentam as reflexões de Bakhtin no ensaio “Hacia uma filosofia del acto ético” (1997) a respeito da arte, apontando as relações dialógicas estabelecidas entre o texto poético e o contexto social, tendo como referência primeira o eu-lírico do poema e a proposta poéticade Cecília Meireles. A partir do motivo musical do título e das imagens poéticas sugestivas do conflito do eu-lírico, demonstra-se o diálogo que se estabelece com o contexto sócio-histórico marcado pela ditadura militar da Era Vargas e pela Segunda Guerra Mundial. Contrariando a ideia corrente de que Cecília Meireles distanciava-se dos problemas de sua época, procura-se demonstrar que a sutileza de suas imagens, pautadas pela proximidade do universo musical popular, trazem a tensão e o sofrimento existencial marcado por um contexto social adverso. Sendo assim, os poemas representam uma atitude responsiva e responsável da autora, na perspectiva bakhtiniana, cumprindo uma proposta artística coerente com sua concepção estética de arte
